I kissed Amber (and we both liked it).

It was awkward. It originally was a joke, but it was the moment she found out that gender didn't matter for her. Ambers nearly white hair - thanks to the Hawaiian sun - reflected the bonfire that was still burning. Nathaniel went to bed an hour ago and the two girls were alone. Lilith was fourteen years old, it was the last summer before she met her first real boyfriend, who would break her heart. But the raven-haired girl wouldn't know that at this moment.

It was an experiment. They were both turning into women, it was the first year Lilith had to wear a bra all the time because her boobs were too heavy.

She didn't even know who had the idea. Was it a joke she made, with a little chuckle? Was it a dare Amber said and she felt a little to provoked?

Her hand was on Ambers' cheek, caressing the soft skin. Their breaths were loud, too fast, anticipating. Amber was lying in the sand, Lilith's body covering the most of the blondes'. The fire was nearly burned down as their lips met.

The two girls kissed. It was a game. A joke. But it sent electric shivers through Lilith's body and made her whole being feel hot. She did kiss a boy before, but this was different. Softer. More awkward. Better. Lilith knew both of them loved boys, it was topic number one in their talks, but this felt so good. Even though it was Amber. Cute little Amber which she always teased. Irritating Amber who could be a real bitch. So why did it feel so good?...

Years later

Amber failed to understand why Lilith came back. She'd die to live in a big city like Berlin, instead of this little town. But there were also these little butterflies in her stomach like every time she saw Lilith. The blonde never had a chance to overcome her crush, because she never accepted that she had one. And now, after they found out they had the same father, she would never accept it. Amber would learn to live with the constant tingling whenever her gaze met her half-sisters'. Someday...
